Removal of Rubbing Strips

Rating: Easy.  Frustrations factor: No big deal

Surprisingly easy - you don't need to remove any of the internal trim.

The rubbing strips are held on by a series of plastic clips and held in place with one screw for each strip.  The little stubs at the back of the van are held on by grommets and is just prized off with a screwdriver.

(1) Unfasten the screw at the end of the rubbing strip (see hole)

(2) Push the rubbing strip to the right (may not be the same for both sides, give it a wiggle and see which way it goes) it should lift out easily exposing all that rust resulting from that diligent Spanish workmanship.

Refitting is the reverse of removal.
